The year 2023 will be full of new challenges and projects. One of them is a project based on micro-navigation in public space for the city of Warsaw, which the InnerWeb team will probably start implementing in the second half of February.

Among other things, the project includes the introduction of solutions with facilities for the blind, which will enable them to move freely in public spaces and handle everyday matters independently. The project includes nearly 100 public facilities: about 60 offices and public places, as well as all subway stations.

InnerWeb, in its role as subcontractor, is carrying out the full scope of the tender for the construction of the micro-navigation system as part of the e-accessibility component of the Virtual Warsaw Functional Area (Virtual WOF) project, which has been under contract with MobileMS since June 2022. We will provide the technology, i.e. all the beacons (ibeacons) to designated locations and objects, as well as the software. The task will be carried out together with partners SoniqSoft and Appvinio. A team of nearly fifty programmers, engineers and specialists is working on the entire system.

“The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of life of residents and visitors, including tourists, by providing a package of e-services to facilitate multifaceted interaction with municipalities and use of public services through mobile technologies.”

“E-accessibility – implementation of a system of micro-navigation and contextual information to facilitate movement in public spaces, including inside buildings, as well as to increase the accessibility of information and improve the handling of matters in offices, especially for the visually impaired.”
