LOCATION OF RESOURCES – Case study
INNERWEB SYSTEM
With the development of new technologies, companies are looking for better and better improvements to be able to speed up certain processes and gain more control over what is happening in the plant. Gathering reliable data on the actions taken enables more efficient management of production and resources. The InnerWeb application is a multifunctional tool that is able to meet a wide range of company needs – from continuous real-time traffic monitoring, data storage and automatic data transfer, to equipment location.
CHALLENGE
In a plant that is located over a large area and has many halls and warehouses, the daily supervision of all areas is quite a challenge. Every day, there are a dozen or even dozens of product loads in one warehouse, and as many as 260 loads throughout the plant, all using forklifts and loaders. The operator of a small forklift would retrieve materials from the hall and deliver them to the operator of a larger forklift, who would then load them onto a truck. Adding information on how this process takes place and where the materials are taken from to load the vehicles would make things much easier at the plant.

Up to several hundred loadings per day
The problem of cooperation of carts during loading
Lack of information about the process
PROCESS FLOW
In order to meet the customer’s requirements and reduce the time for daily activities, we installed more than 60 iBeacons in 3 warehouse facilities to get monitoring in these areas. We distributed 3 active cards to the employees and conducted proper training with them, which took only 5 minutes. Immediately after that, we were already able to collect information about the movement and activity of devices in the area.
SOLUTION
Thanks to the geolocation function, we have gained access to information about where equipment and machines are located, as well as how cooperation between individual employees and teams is going – whether the process is running smoothly or if there are downtimes.
The InnerWeb application allows us to have a constant view of what is going on. It is no longer necessary to exercise control over the work at the site where it is taking place. Remotely, from anywhere, it is possible to see how daily operations are going – how long it takes to load a particular vehicle, where materials are taken from and how many people are doing it. The actual collection of information can be used to analyze processes and make implementations to increase efficiency and optimization. The application allows thousands of data streams to be collected in one place and automatically uploaded to a selected location. This makes it possible to learn from daily operations and continuously improve them.
BENEFITS
- Constant supervision of processes from anywhere on Earth
- Elimination of unnecessary downtime
- Obtain extensive process flow data that can be used to analyze and optimize operations
